Havana, SANA- Cuba has expressed its categorical rejection of measures targeting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the People’s Republic of China, condemning the interfere in its internal affairs.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the escalation of tensions and the worsening situation around Taiwan.
It stressed that this situation is a direct result of the aggressive policy and the large military presence of the United States and its allies in the Taiwan Strait and its actions that threaten regional and international peace and security.
Cuba has rejected new provocations disguised as official contacts or high-level visits, warning that such behavior creates deliberate additional risks, reiterating its strict adherence to the principle of “one China” and recognizing Taiwan as an inalienable part of this country’s territory.
Cuba also called to strictly respect the goals and principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, away from selectivity and double standards, noting the main role that China plays as a factor of international stability and balance, and the importance of its cooperation with developing countries without political conditions.
