Syria’s basketball team loses to its New Zealand counterpart at the FIBA Asia Cup 2022, Indonesia

Jakarta, SANA-Syria’s national basketball team lost to New Zealand (58-97 ) in the quarter-final play-off and thus the team took out from the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 , held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

Our team qualified for the quarter-finals by defeating Kazakhstan with a result of 77-67 points, ranking the third place in the groups stage.

During the first round, our team lost to its Japanese counterpart, with a score of 56-117 points, and to its Iranian counterpart, with a score of 67-80 points .
