Arnous inspects progress of work at al-Rastan power plant in Lattakia countryside

Lattakia, SANA- Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, and the accompanying ministerial delegation have reviewed the progress of work at the power plant in al-Rastan in Lattakia countryside.

The administrative and technical cadres at the companies concerned who are supervising the implementation of the project briefed Eng. Arnous on the stages to which implementation of the project has reached.

The work at al-Rastan station has now reached the final stages for putting the first gas turbine into service, and it is expected to be put into service in December this year, Director of the General Establishment for Electricity Generation, Engineer Ali Haifa, told SANA reporter.

Haifa added that the installation work exceeded 91 percent of the execution rate for the first gas turbine after the completion of more than 25 kilometers of the gas line feeding it.

For his part, the project manager from the Iranian Building Krupp company which is implementing the project of al-Rastan station Yadullah Kariman said that the company is working to finish the work at the station in accordance with the specified timetable.

He added that the company pledged to connect the first gas turbine within four months.
