Metropolitan Chedraoui underscores Syria’s cultural contributions to human civilizations

Caracas, SANA-Metropolitan Anthony Chedraoui, Archbishop of Mexico and Venezuela stressed on the values of tolerance, amity and fraternity preached by divine messages.

Chedraoui was speaking during a religious mass at the Roman Catholic Church in Caracas.

In his speech, he laid special emphasis on the sanctity of the Levant, particularly Syria, pointing to its importance in cultural and religious history and its contributions for the wellbeing of mankind over decades.

He praised the willpower of the Syrians who have stood up to hordes of mercenaries who have come from all corners of the world.

The archbishop pointed to the aggression waged against Syria that comes across disguised in many names like democracy and human rights, with its stated aim being the toppling of a government that has the support of the Syrian people.

Ghassan Abbas, Syria’s ambassador in Venezuela elaborated in his speech on the situation in Syria, underscoring the important role of clergymen in exposing the grisly crimes of terrorists.
