New Russian ambassador hands over his credentials to Foreign Minister

Damascus, SANA – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem met Wednesday with the newly appointed Russian ambassador Alexander Alexandrovich Kinschaka, who handed over a copy of his credentials to the Minister.

Kinschaka was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Syria.

Al-Moallem and the ambassador talked about the bilateral relations of strategic partnership binding Syria and Russia and means of bolstering them as well as upgrading cooperation in the various economic and political fields among others.

This partnership, both sides said, has proved very important in light of the global developments, with the need to pushing it forward to the interest of the friendly people of the two countries being stressed during the meeting.
