More than 1.6 million refugees from Donbass and Ukraine arrive in Russia

Moscow, SANA-The Russian authorities announced today that more than 1.6 million refugees have arrived in Russia coming from Ukraine and the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk since the beginning of the Russian special military operation there.

RT website quoted a spokesman for the Russian emergency services as saying that since the beginning of the special military operation, 1,615,490 refugees, including 262,820 children, have arrived across the Russian border.

 The spokesman added that the number of people who crossed the border during the past 24 hours has amounted to 20,280 refugees.
