Russian Defense Ministry: Several neighborhoods in Mariupol controlled

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday that operation to liberate the city of Mariupol from the Ukrainian nationalists continues.

Spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, said in a media briefing  that units of the Donetsk People’s Republic established their control on east of the city on Azovsky, Naydinovka, Liabino and Vinograd neighborhoods, and reached Nesneh Azov-stal, adding that the  neighborhoods of Zapadny district, west of Mariupol, were also liberated.

Konashenkov added that  Donetsk Republic forces groups continued their operations and established control over the Ukrainian towns of Blignoye and Tavla.
