Havana, SANA-Syrian community and students in Cuba said that Russia has the full right to defend itself and keep danger away from its people in face of the West and United States’ attempts of threatening its national security and stability.
Some members of the community and students visited the Russian chancery in Havana and met Russian Ambassador, Andrei Guskov, showing their support for Russia’s stance towards situation in Ukraine.
Ambassador Guskov thanked this solidarity initiative, noting the Syrian people have experienced war on their land and have suffered from its bitter effects.
Guskov briefed the Syrian delegation in details on the facts that pushed Russia to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine, as it aimed to stop the expansion of NATO and protect the Russian citizens in Donetsk and Lugansk republics.
