Justice Minister: 15,922 people had their legal status settled in 2014

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Justice Najm Hamad al-Ahmad announced that the number of people whose legal status was settled in 2014 in coordination with the competent authorities reached 15,922 people from all the Syrian provinces.

Al-Ahmad told SANA that settling the legal status of the people who were involved in the current events in Syria “has achieved positive and tangible results”, indicating that more than 98 percent of those people have returned to their jobs and normal life and they are contributing to building Syria.

He said that the Ministry of Justice has lists including the names of the people whose legal status was settled, in addition to the competent authorities to whom they turned themselves in.

He hoped that 2015 will be the year during which the legal status of all the people who are involved in the current events will be settled according to the regulations and laws in force.

The number of people who turn themselves in to the competent authorities in Syria to have their legal status settled is witnessing a daily increase after they have realized the hugeness of the conspiracy hatched against Syria.
