Damascus ,SANA – The Health Ministry announced on Thursday that 272 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 70 coronavirus patients recovered, while 9 others passed away.
The Ministry stated in a statement that the total number of the coronavirus cases detected in Syria has reached up to 34,205till now, of which 23,812 have recovered, while 2,247 others have passed away.
The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syria on March 22nd in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality from the virus was reported on the 29th of the same month.
