DPRK Ambassador in Damascus: US and South Korea military drills undermine stability in the Korean peninsula

Damascus, SANA- Ambassador of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Syria, Mun Jong-nam said that the US-South Korea military drills, which have been launched recently, aim to undermine stability in the Korean peninsula.

The DPRK Ambassador’s remarks came during an interview with SANA reporter.

He said that that the emerging international situation requires strengthening cooperation between all independent countries to stand up to the conspiracies of hegemony of the United States.

The DPRK Ambassador condemned the US hostile conspiracies against Syria, the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it, and its attempt to violate the country’s sovereignty, pointing  out to Washington’s efforts to systematically destroy Syria’s economic infrastructure and steal its oil, wheat, cotton, and other natural resources.

He also condemned the attacks of US backed -Zionist entity against Syria.

The emerging international situation requires strengthening cooperation between DPRK and Syria and the other independent countries to stand in the face of domination of the US, the Ambassador stressed.

He reiterated his country’s firm stance in support of Syria and its people in the struggle aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty, its security and preserving its territorial integrity in the face of different forms of aggression, challenges and conspiracies fabricated by the hostile powers ,on top the US.

The Ambassador expressed his country’s confidence that Syria and its people will definitely achieve the final triumph over the enemies.
