Syrian 2nd International Conference on Multiple Sclerosis opens activities in Aleppo

 Aleppo, SANA- With participation of 120 doctors from Arab and foreign countries, activities of the 2nd Syrian International Conference on Multiple Sclerosis, organized by the Syrian Doctors’ Syndicate in cooperation with the Syrian Association for Medical Sciences, began today at the Sheraton Aleppo Hotel.

Dr. Kamal Asad Amer, Chief  of the Doctors’ Syndicate in Syria, affirmed the importance of the conference in shedding light on the disease of multiple sclerosis and revealing the developments of this autoimmune disease that leads to disability in young patients in case of delays in treatment and diagnosis.

He added that the efforts and experiences of participating doctors from Arab Countries and the scientific and practical sessions of the conference would raise the health level in Syria and contribute to serving patients.

In a speech via the Internet, Dr. Maged Abdel Nassir, Head of the Arab Federation of Neurological Societies from Egypt, said that the conference, through the research and work sessions, will contribute to providing the up-to-date treatment for patients with multiple sclerosis and controlling this disease, especially through direct dialogue between doctors inside and outside Syria.

The conference lasts for three days and holds five practical and online sessions to discuss the latest up-to-dates in multiple sclerosis and diagnose clinical cases in a practical way and provide treatment for them.
