Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds two million and 865 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of 2,865,071 people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019.

According to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website, which follows up the latest developments of the virus, the total number of the worldwide coronavirus infections has reached up to 131,870,926, while the recoveries have amounted to 106,115,047.

 The US still tops the worst affected countries in terms of infections and deaths as it has recorded 568,722 deaths out of 31,416,291 infections, while Brazil comes second with 331,433 deaths out of 12,984,956 infections.

India comes in the third place as it has registered 165,132 deaths out of 12,587,920 infections.
