Health Ministry: 87 new coronavirus cases recorded, 88 patients recover, five pass away

Damascus, SANA-The Health Ministry announced on Monday that 87 new coronavirus cases were recorded, adding that 88 coronavirus patients recovered, and five others passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 16,556 till now, of which 11,058 have recovered, and 1,104 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was registered in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was recorded on the 29^th of the same month.
