Moscow, SANA- Russian President’s special envoy for Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed on Friday with UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, the situation in Syria.
“Bogdanov and Pederson discussed in a telephone call issues related to the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254, with a focus on the necessity for joint efforts by the international community with the aim of reconstructing Syria and ensuring conditions for the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland.” Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The statement added that comprehensive views were exchanged on the preparations for the sixth round of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution in Geneva.
