Syrian, Indian talks to bolster mutual cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Humam al-Jazairi discussed with Charge d’ Affaires of the Indian embassy in Damascus S.R. Meena means of upgrading bilateral cooperation between Syria and India to serve mutual interests.

Al-Jazaeri stressed during the meeting the importance of communication between Syrian and India on the governmental and business level to develop trade, economic and investment cooperation and explore potential cooperation spheres.

The minister called for outlining appropriate frameworks for joint cooperation and investment, underlining the necessity of benefitting from the Indian experience in railways, communication technology and biotechnology.

Praising India’s positive stance regarding the scientific grants for Syrians that have not stopped during the crisis, the minister underlined these grants’ importance in sharpening the skills of Syrian trainees.

The Indian diplomat, for his part, said the Indian Embassy in Damascus will exert all possible efforts to bolster mutual cooperation in all fields.
