Bogdanov, Pederson discuss preparations for holding fifth round of Committee of Discussing the Constitution

Moscow, SANA- Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, discussed with UN special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, the ongoing preparations for holding the coming round of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution.

Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday that the two sides discussed, in a phone call, issues related to holding the fifth round of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution in Geneva from the 25th to the 29th of January, with focus on the importance of the inter-Syrian dialogue with the help of the UN.

The statement added that the talks also affirmed that no substitute to pushing towards finding a solution to the crisis in Syria in light of UN Security Council Resolution no 2254, adding the two sides expressed their readiness for more coordination to find a constructive atmosphere during the talks.
