Army launches large-scale military operations against terrorist organizations across the country

Provinces, SANA – Units of the army and the armed forces on Saturday launched wide-scale military operations against the terrorist organizations’ hideouts and gatherings, killing scores of terrorists and wounding others.

Homs

Units of the army killed a number of terrorists and injured others in the villages of al-Sultania, Rahoum and in Beit Rab’a in al-Rastan in the countryside of Homs central province, destroying a number of their vehicles.

In another context, reports circulated on the social media pages of the terrorist organizations said infighting and conflicts broke out among the organizations operating in al-Hilaliyeh village in al-Rastan upon them receiving severe blows and suffering heavy losses at the Army’s hands.

The reports stressed that many of the organizations’ members were killed in the army operations in the village.

Daraa

Units of the army destroyed dens and gatherings of terrorists in Daraa al-Mahata and in the towns of al-Sheikh Miskeen, al-Mleha al-Sharqiyya and al-Hrak in the countryside of Daraa southern province, killing scores of them and injuring others.

Operations against the takfiri organizations in al-Sheikh Miskeen yesterday resulted in the killing of over 50 of their members, including a so-called Military Prince of “Houran Lions” group, according to the organizations’ social media pages.

Units of the army killed scores of terrorists and injured others who were positioned in the western neighborhood of Bosra al-Cham city from which where they would launch attacks against the city’s civilian residents.

More terrorists were killed in the northwest of Atman town, the villages of Deir al-Adas, Samlin, al-Fakae and the surrounding of and at  the center of Jimreen village.

A military source said units of the Army and Armed Forces repelled terrorists who tried to attack military checkpoints at the entrance of Busra al-Sham in Daraa countryside.

The units destroyed terrorists’ dens in Kawm al-Wawiyat, Nawa, al-Faki’a, al-Hrak, Jassem, Tal Massih, Ibta’, Shaikh Miskin and an arms’ cache in the province’s countryside.

Hama

Engineering units from the Army and Armed Forces dismantled a car bomb rigged with 1.5 tons of explosives in the industrial zone east of Hama city.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that the car, a van, contained a number of square-shaped homemade explosive devices full of high explosives connected to detonators that were set for detonation, saying that the engineering units dismantled and secured all the explosives.

Idleb

A military source said army units killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons in Maaret al-Nouman, Darkoush and in the area surrounding Abu al-Duhour in Idleb countryside.

An army unit eliminated five terrorists, injured others, and destroyed a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun in the village of Maalali in al-Zawiye Mountain.

Other army units destroyed a terrorist hideout in the surroundings of al-Janoudiye, eliminating a number of terrorists, including terrorist group leaders, most of them of foreign nationalities. Among the dead terrorists were a Libyan nicknamed Abu al-Bara’a and a Saudi nicknamed Abu Muhammad.

Deir Ezzor

A military source told SANA that army units are continuing to pursue ISIS terrorists in the area around Deir Ezzor Airport, eliminating dozens of them and injuring others.

Among the dead terrorists were Abdelkarim Zoba’a al-Khamis, Hamad Ramadan Zaib, Hamad Saeed al-Madad, Imad Hassan al-Mohsen, Hussam al-Khleif al-Abdullah, Hussam Sattaf Nayef al-Shawish, and Ahmad al-Abdullah al-Khalaf.

Army units also prevented a terrorist group from infiltrating al-Jafra from the al-Mraiyiye, in addition to eliminating 12 terrorists, injuring others, and destroying terrorist concentrations in the villages of al-Muraiye, al-Muhasan, Ayyash, Hatla, and Huwaija al-Sakr in Deir Ezzor countryside.
