Beirut, SANA- Former Lebanese Minister, Vice-President of the Free Patriotic Movement Tareq al-Khatib underlined the importance of developing and enhancing relations between Syria and Lebanon to achieve the best interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
In a special statement to SANA reporter, al-Khatib said that “The main goal of the illegal Turkish and American occupations in Syria is to weaken the state of opposition and resistance in the face of the Zionist entity.”
He indicated that the allegations which the occupation always tries to promote for achieving the economic control are intended to weaken the Syrian state.
Al-Khatib added that “Syria is a truly sovereign state, and its decision is independent.”
