Haddad: terrorism went far in destroying Syria’s medical infrastructure, scientific cooperation with Russia is a priority

Moscow, SANA- The Syrian Ambassador in Moscow, Riad Haddad, affirmed the priority of cultural and scientific cooperation with Moscow through the first participation of a large number of Syrian doctors in “the New Generation” project in Russia.

During a session for distributing the certificates of the New Generation project ,sponsored by the Federal Agency for International Cooperation ( Rossotrudnichestvo ), to the Syrian delegation’s members on Wednesday , Haddad stressed that Syria is keen and always seeks to enhance the cultural and scientific cooperation with Russia ,especially in the medical domain.

He added that the terrorist organizations have systematically targeted the hospitals ,dispensaries and ambulances along with the transported injuries, inflecting a huge damage to the medical infrastructure in Syria ,so later, the country has found itself alone in confronting Coronavirus pandemic except for some states that stood beside it ,on top, Russia.

Haddad hailed the significant horizons of the aforementioned project for the scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries, reiterating that the unfair blockage being imposed on Syria for ten years deprives the Syrian people from not only the essential products and goods, but also from participation in the important scientific conferences and the intellectual seminars.
