Damascus, SANA- The ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Narcotics’ Department in Damascus thwarted the operation of bringing 36 kg of hashish into Syria, confiscated the quantity and arrested the traffickers.

The Ministry said in a statement that the Anti-Drug department arrested two persons in Barza al-Balad area in a KIA private car, finding a quantity of 36 kg of hashish.

It added that the car was seized and narcotic substances were confiscated, and investigations are still ongoing with the arrested persons to uncover all those involved in the case to take legal proceedings against them.
