In the framework of preventive measures to confront coronavirus, Interior Ministry prevents the entry of Arabs and foreigners from many countries

Damascus, SANA-In the framework of the preventive measures to confront coronavirus, the Interior Ministry prevented Arabs and foreigners, of a number of countries, from entering Syria.

“The Arabs and foreigners, regardless those who have residence cards in the country or visas issued from our diplomatic missions who come from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, America, Japan, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, are prevented from entering Syria for two months,” the Ministry said in a statement.

It added that The Arabs and foreigners, regardless if they have residence cards in the country or visas issued from our diplomatic missions who also come from Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Morocco are prevented from entering the country for one month.

The Ministry allowed the entry of Syrian citizens coming from one of the mentioned states and who have no symptoms, but they will be put in house quarantine for 14 days.

“Those who have symptoms will be transformed to al-Dweir center for health quarantine for 14 days,” the Ministry said.

It also allowed the entry of trucks after having all medical preventive measures at borders.

Members of the diplomatic and consular mission are allowed to enter the country after making needed medical tests.
