Putin discusses with Russian Security Council situation in Syria and Libya

Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation (SCRF) the situation in Syria and Libya.

RIA Novosti news agency quoted on Friday Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that the participants in the meeting discussed in the framework of the telephone calls which Putin had held with his foreign counterparts, the situation in Syria and the escalation of the terrorist activities in Idleb.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a press conference that the presence of a terrorist pocket in Idleb cannot be tolerated.
