Hasaka, SANA – Empowered by President Bashar al-Assad, Assistant Secretary General of Al Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal offered condolences to Supreme Archimandrite Andranik Ayvazyan, Vicar of the Prelacy of Qamishli and Higher al-Jazeera of the Armenian Catholic Church, over the martyring of Father Hovsep Bedo and his father at the hands of terrorists.
Al-Hilal relayed to the family of the martyrs the deepest condolences of President al-Assad, saying that the targeting of religious figures seeks to silence the voices that call for solidarity, love, and peace and constitutes a desperate attempt to cause division in the Syrian society.
Terrorists groups attacked Father Bedo and his father during their tour of the Armenian Catholic Church in Deir Ezzor on Monday.
