Syrian-Belarusian talks to boost mutual cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Humam al-Jazaeri discussed with Belorussian Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Rybkov means of bolstering mutual cooperation relations, especially in trade and investment.

The minister stressed the necessity of easing and speeding up trade and investment exchange processes between the two sides and removing barriers hindering mutual cooperation.

He pointed to the attention the government gives to joining the Eurasian Customs Union and its desire for Belorussia to provide adequate technical support to the ad hoc committee negotiating the accession to the union.

The Belarusian official, for his part, said his government is ready to offer necessary support for Syria and open new communication channels for mutual cooperation ahead of the forthcoming joint Syrian-Belarusian Committee for Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation set to be held earlier next year.
