Hussein Nejad affirms Wide participation of Iranian companies in upcoming Damascus International Fair

Tehran, SANA-Director General of International Exhibitions’ Company in Iran Bahman Hussein Nejad affirmed on Wednesday the Iranian companies’ willingness for a wide participation in the 61st Damascus International Fair.

“We have common cooperation with Syria in the context of holding exhibitions, we have given a license for an Iranian private company to coordinate with different Iranian companies to take part in Damascus International Fair,” Hussein Nejad said during a meeting with Syrian Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud.

The two sides discussed means of realizing partnerships between the two countries in the commercial, developmental, production and investment domains to confront repercussions of the economic blockade and unilateral, coercive measures imposed by the US and western states on Syria and Iran.

Ambassador Mahmoud, for his part, underlined the importance of the active and wide participation of the Iranian companies, of private and public sectors, in Damascus International Fair as it paves the way for an important opportunity to broaden bilateral cooperation in different economic, agrarian and industrial domains, particularly after the restoration of security and stability to the majority of the Syrian territories.
