Damascus, SANA-An army unit on Tuesday foiled a terrorist attack by a number of terrorist suicide bombers on one of the military posts in the direction of Taibet al-Imam in Hama northern countryside in a new breach of the de-escalation zone agreement.
A military source said that at about 03:00 am, members of an armed terrorist group wearing explosive belts and dressed as local farmers attacked one of the military posts in the direction of Taibet al-Imam in Hama northern countryside.
The source added that the attackers were immediately discovered by the guards of the post and fire was opened on them and their attack was foiled despite of that some suicide bombers detonated themselves in parallel with firing a barrage of mortar shells and opening fire from medium and heavy machineguns.
Three were martyred in the clashes and all members of a terrorist group were killed, in addition to destroying a tank which backed them after they were discovered.
Meanwhile, SANA reporter said that army units destroyed dens and vehicles for terrorist groups on the outskirts of al-Bweda, Lahaya, Ma’arkaba, Latamneh and East of Morek in Hama northern countryside.
