Lavrov: Kazakhstan’s role in Astana meetings on Syria constructive

Astana, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed that the role played by Kazakhstan in solving the crisis in Syria through the format of Astana meetings is constructive.

In an interview with Kazakh New Agency Khabar, Lavrov said “This role is accurate and constructive and it is highly appreciated by all.”

Commenting on the settlement of the crisis between Russia and the Turkish regime which took place in 2015, Lavrov said that Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev due to his experience was able to find a format for the words which Turkey was able to utter and which Russia would accept.
