Reserved spaces in Damascus International Fair exceeded 90,000 square meters

Damascus, SANA- The countdown for launching the 60th edition of Damascus International Fair has begun, with only few hours until the official ceremony starts.

The Fair is being held with the participation of 48 countries and a number of businessmen and 1700 local, foreign and international companies.

The Fair this year is the largest since its inception in the fifties in terms of the reserved spaces whose aggregate area exceeded 90 thousand square meters.

The official participation in the Fair includes the countries of: Palestine, Sudan, Iran, Abkhazia, Belarus, Pakistan, Yemen, Armenia, Russian Federation, Indonesia, Iraq, South Africa, India, China, Bulgaria, Czech, Brazil, Macedonia, Venezuela, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Afghanistan and Ossetia.

While the countries of :Italy, UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Malaysia, Tunisia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, UK, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Slovakia, Jordan, Algeria, Netherlands, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Lebanon, Spain and Singapore will participate in the Fair via agents and companies.

Some 1700 Syrian, Arab and foreign economic companies will participate in the Fair, distributed among 45 pavilions.

The largest pavilion in the Fair is the Syrian Pavilion with a stand that covers 4500 square meters, in which most of the industrial products in Syria in the public and private sectors such as food, textile, engineering and chemical products will be exhibited.
