Damascus countryside, SANA-Prime Minister Imad Khamis visited Jdaidet Yabous center on the Syrian-Lebanese borders to inspect procedures taken to facilitate the return of Syrians abroad and ease the relevant measures amid a remarkable increase in the numbers of returnees.
Khamis listened to the accounts of a number of returnees commenting on the level of services and measures undertaken to clear obstacles hindering the entry process. The citizens expressed satisfaction over the quality and speed of offered services.
The officials in charge of the center provided an explanation about the efforts and the mechanisms of providing services amid a daily arrival of 10000 citizens via the crossing.
In a statement to journalists, Khamis said the return of Syrian nationals via border crossings and Damascus International Airport is a fruit of the victories of the Syrian armed forces, affirming that the Syrian state has shouldered its responsibilities in bringing back citizens who fled due to terrorism and promising further facilitations for the returnees.
Premier Khamis said the government is in close contact with friendly countries to facilitate the return of Syrian citizens, citing a body recently set up for that purpose.
The government has outlined a human development and social protection plan in all areas to rebuild schools and create job opportunities, not to mention a strategy to reinstate service and economic institutions and basic services in the areas liberated from terrorism, Khamis noted.
