New York, SANA-Syria’s permanent envoy to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari called on the countries which supported Resolution 2178 on preventing the flow of foreign fighters through borders to adhere and apply it, particularly the US, Britain, France, Turkey and the Gulf States.
“Yesterday was a Syrian day inside the corridors of the UN as the states which have long denied the existence of terrorism in Syria were repeating what has Syria affirmed throughout three years on the presence of a takfiri terrorism in Syria that has to be combated by the so-called international community,” al-Jaafari told the Syrian TV.
He added that the UN is not a charitable association, nor the General Secretariat is the side which we can depend to impalement the resolution, but the member states should apply resolution 2178.
