Syria beats Iraq 33-15 within West Asian Women’s Handball Championship

Amman, SANA- Syrian women’s handball team beat the Iraqi team 33-15 within the second West Asian Women’s Handball Championship held in the Jordanian capital of Amman.

The team won its first game against Qatar 27-24, lost to Jordan 19-27 in the second one, and won the third against Lebanon 27-18.

The Syrian team will meet its Iranian counterpart on Wednesday.

In 2016, the first edition of the tournament, which was held in a one-phase league system, was hosted by Doha where the Qatari team won the title after beating Jordan.
