Washington, SANA –U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday recognized Jerusalem as the capital of the Israeli occupation entity and announced plans to relocate the US Embassy there, in a step that shows a recklessness in international law and all relevant resolutions.
“I instructed the State Department to begin procedures to move the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem,” Trump said in a speech from the White House.
Earlier, an official source at the Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Ministry condemned in the strongest terms Trump’s intention to move the U.S. Embassy to the occupied Jerusalem and recognize it as the capital of Israeli entity, considering such move as a crowning of the crime of usurping Palestine and ignorance of international law.
