Baku, SANA – Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed that the Iranian, Russian, and Turkish efforts on the Syrian crisis do not contradict the international efforts for resolving this crisis.
In a statement on the sideline of the Heart of Asia Conference, Zarif said that during his meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on Thursday, he discussed the Sochi talks and initiatives for resolving the Syrian crisis, as well as the dangerous Saudi policies in Yemen and Lebanon.
He also maintained that the Heart of Asia Conference aims at cooperation and unity of efforts of the region’s countries to promote security, warning the great threat posed by the spread of Daesh (ISIS) in Afghanistan.
