Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif discussed in a phone call further coordination measures between the two countries within the Astana process on Syria.
“The two ministers discussed issues concerning further coordination of actions in order to successfully advance the Astana process on political settlement in Syria,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Lavrov also discussed with Turkish regime’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu developments related to the crisis in Syria in light of Astana 7th meeting and affirmed their intention to continue efforts to promote dialogue between the government and the “opposition”.
