UN Security Council refuses to condemn terror attacks on Russian Embassy in Damascus

Moscow, SANA – The Russian Mission to the United Nations said that UN Security Council refused to issue a press statement that condemns the terrorist attacks that targeted the Russian Embassy in Damascus recently.

Russian media quoted the Russian mission as saying that “We regret to say that some members of the Security Council have again refused to consider the Russian draft under a far-fetched pretext of the lack of evidence on the terrorist nature of the attacks”.

The Russian Mission explained that the draft in question condemned the attack with rocket shells on the Russian Embassy in Damascus which took place on Monday and Tuesday, an attack carried out by terrorists from Jobar neighborhood where the presence of terrorist organizations is still tangible, adding that such attacks have intensified recently.
