Authorities continue to comb al-Waer neighborhood in Homs, uncover workshop for manufacturing IEDs and shells

Homs, SANA – During combing operations in al-Waer neighborhood in Homs after it was cleared of weapons and militants, the authorities uncovered on Tuesday a base, workshop for manufacturing IEDs and shells, and a field hospital used by terrorists, in addition a large amount of heavy weapons.

SANA’s correspondent in Homs said the authorities uncovered a workshop for manufacturing IEDs and shells in Burj al-Shams building along al-Masbah Street in the neighborhood, pointing out that the workshop contained heavy weapons, mortar launchers, and large amounts of food and health supplies which the terrorists had seized.

The correspondent said the authorities also uncovered a base of operations for terrorists that contained a prison next to the exhibitions building in the neighborhood, finding inside it torture devices, mortar launchers, Grad rockets, communications equipment, and power supplies, in addition to uncovering a field hospital near Burj al-Khair building that the terrorists had been using.

Internal security forces entered al-Waer on Sunday after it was declared safe and were deployed in the Justice Palace, Police Department, state establishments, and the center of the neighborhood.
