Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain around average or slightly above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by a southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that skies will be between clear to partly cloudy in general, but at the evening the weather will turn to become cloudy on the northwestern and coastal areas; local rain showers are expected over those areas.
The department warned against formation of frost and ice in the mountains and fog in most of the inland areas.
The winds will be southeastern of low speed and the sea waves will be of low amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: in Damascus 12/03, Daraa 13/02, Homs 13/01, Hama 13/01, Lattakia 18/08, Aleppo 12/02 and Deir Ezzor 17/02.
