Damascus, SANA – A four- member Czech Parliamentary delegation arrived at Damascus International Airport on board of a small plane loaded with medical and relief supplies aimed to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
Head of the delegation, MP Zuzka Rujbrova expressed joy to visit Syria, adding that she is looking forward to hold talks with members of the People’s Assembly and other organizations and discuss means of providing help and support to Syria.
She noted that the dialogue might contribute to easing the situation, stressing the need to boost the Syrian-Czech relations.
Rujbrova said that the delegation will convey the reality of what is taking on the ground to the Czech people and mass media, stressing the need to “differentiate people who were threatened and forced to leave their homes from those who left seeking a better economic life.”
In turn, another member in the visiting delegation said that all countries of the world have agreed to one thing; to fight the danger posed by terrorism that affects not only Syria but also the European Union and raises concerns even in the US and Russia, adding that one of the joint goals is to work together to solve this issue which considered number one in the world.
For his part, Syrian MP Botrus Murjani underlined the Czech embassy’s positive role to launch dialogue and convey the reality of events in Syria, stressing the importance of dialogue in Syria to find a peaceful and political solution which requires exchanging viewpoints to reach such solution and the best way to eradicate terrorism.
