Electricity Minister tours power institution in Damascus Countryside, honors 25 workers

Damascus, SANA – Caretaker Minister of Electricity Imad Khamis on Monday inspected the work of al-Dimas Power Transmission Station and honored 25 workers, who were injured by terrorists’ gunfire while carrying out their duties.

Khamis said al-Dimas is one of the most important electrical generating station in Damascus Countryside, adding that the plant is linked to the international network.

He also hailed the efforts exerted by the workers as to ensure providing power and fix all damages and was briefed on the work in the station and equipment needed to maintain it.

Minister Khamis honored 25 workers who got injured or suffered permanent disability in Damascus and its countryside and said all medical care will be provided to them.
