A new batch of medical aid distributed to displaced residents of al-Yarmouk Camp in nearby towns

Damascus, SANA – Supported by the Syrian government, the General Authority for Palestinian Arab Refugees (GAPAR) distributed on Wednesday medical aid to residents of al-Yarmouk Camp who are now temporarily staying in the nearby towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm in Damascus Countryside after being displaced by terrorist organizations.

Ali Mustafa, the GAPAR Director General said in a statement to SANA that the medical aid included antibiotics, saline solution and 200,000 chlorine water purification tablets.

A medical team provided patients with treatment and medicines, Mustafa added, stressing that delivering food, medical and other relief supplies to displaced people staying at the makeshift center of Zainab al-Hilaliyeh School and in al-Tadamun area will continue.

Residents of al-Yarmouk Camp fled after hundreds of terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) entered the neighborhood, aided by Jabhat al-Nusra, in early April.

Terrorists committed crimes and detonated scores of houses, forcing residents to flee to nearby areas.
