Trilateral meeting of Syria, Iraq and Iran a turning point in cooperation, Tehran says

Tehran, SANA, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said Wednesday that next week will witness an important development  in relations between Iran ,Iraq and Syria.

Afkham affirmed, during her weekly press conference, the importance of the trilateral meeting of interior ministers of Syria, Iraq and Iran in Baghdad soon, referring to the recent visit of Gen. Mohammad Sha’ar to Tehran and his statements  as well as the statements of Ali Akbar Velayati the Senior Advisor of the Iranian Supreme Leader in this regard.

A trilateral meeting of Interior Ministers of Syria. Iraq and Iran is due to be held in Baghdad soon as it was announced during the visit of Gen. Shaar to Tehran earlier this week.

“The upcoming meeting is considered a remarkable development in relations among the three countries to boost cooperation, particularly in the field of combating terrorism and terrorist organizations, as well as it is an opportunity for dialogue and cooperation for solving the problems in the interest of the region .
