Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bassam Sabbagh receives a phone call from his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Gil Pinto, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,regarding on the latest developments in northern Syria resulting from the terrorist attacks on it.
Minister Sabbagh explained to his Venezuelan counterpart the size and scope of the terrorist groups’ attack on Aleppo and Idleb, which led to the intimidation of safe civilians and disruption of all aspects of life, and led to a large wave of displacement.
He underlined that the Syrian state will continue its war to combat terrorism and work to restore security and stability and preserve the unity, sovereignty, and integrity of its territories.
For his part, Minister Gil expressed his country’s strong condemnation of the terrorist acts carried out by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the terrorist Jabhat al-Nusra.
He affirms the Bolivarian Venezuela’s commitment to peace, stressing the solidarity of the President of the Republic of Venezuela and the Venezuelan people with Syria, its leadership and people.
