India concerned over Israeli attack on Iran consulate in Damascus

New Delhi, SANA- India expressed concern over Israeli aggression that targeted the Iranian consulate headquarters in Damascus last Monday.

“India is concerned about the Israeli attack that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus early this month”, the Hindu newspaper quoted the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal as saying in a weekly press statement.

Jaiswal asserted that India called for avoid actions that are contrary to the accepted principles and rules of international law, added that his country expressed distress over escalating tensions in West Asia.

Last Monday, the Israeli enemy launched an air attack on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, leaving martyrs and wounded as well as causing damage in the area.
