Damascus ,SANA-Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Hilal al-Hilal, affirmed Tuesday that Syria will preserve its sovereignty and national stances and will not abandon them whatsoever pressures were practiced on the country.
Al-Hilal, meeting a Jordanian popular delegation, pointed to Syria’s commitment to the Jordanian people’s security and to develop relations with Jordan in all fields.
“The Syrian people highly appreciate the visit of the Jordanian delegation during these conditions and the noble stances of Jordanian national figures towards events in the country,” al-Hilal said.
He referred to the achievements of the Syrian Arab army in its war against terrorism which were positively reflected on the security in general.
For his part, Head of the visiting delegation, Sami al-Majalee said that the Syrian and Jordanian people are one, adding that the basic reason behind the war on Syria is to fragment it and affect its stances in service of Zionist project in the region.
