Damascus-SANA-The People’s Assembly affirmed that flying the Syrian national flag in Quneitra on June 26, 1974, after liberating the city and expelling the Zionist enemy, was an immortal historical day in the modern history of Syria.
In a statement upon the 48th anniversary of flying the Syrian Arab republic’s flag by late president Hafez al-Assad in Quneitra the Assembly said” “That historic day came as a culmination of the heroism and sacrifice of our army after defeating the brutal Zionist occupation forces from the city.”
The Assembly reiterated that the “the occupied Syrian Golan is an integral part of Syria”.
