Syrian-Belarusian talks to boost economic and trade relations

Minsk, SANA- Syria and Belarus discussed on Thursday means of boosting bilateral economic and trade relations between both countries.

The step came during a meeting between Syria’s Ambassador in Minsk, Muhammad al-Omrani and the Director General of the National Centre for Marketing and Price Study of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nikolai Borisevich.

Al-Omrani briefed the Belarussian official on the efforts exerted by the embassy to enhance the Syrian-Belarusian economic relations, showing willingness to benefit from the services and economic activities provided by the center to achieve this goal, including establishing trade and investment relations between the public and private sectors in both countries.

In turn, Borisevich presented a detailed explanation on the activities and tasks carried out by the center with a direct support of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop the external economic activity of Belarus and to develop trade and economic relations between Belarus and foreign countries, including Syria.
