Russian forces establish control over Ukrainian command center, scores of Ukrainian military personnel surrender

Moscow, SANA-Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday control of a protected and fortified underground Ukrainian military command center in Nikolayevka town on the suburbs of Kyiv.

RT quoted the Ministry as saying in a statement that 61 Ukrainian servicemen of the controlled center voluntarily surrendered, adding that half of them are senior officers of the Ukrainian armed forces.

The Ukrainian military personnel laid down their weapons collectively due to the severe shortage of equipment, ammunition and food.

All military personnel who laid down their weapons were evacuated from the area, and provided with medical aid and food, according to the statement.
