2.8- magnitude earthquake hits northern Lattakia

Damascus, SANA_ A light earthquake was registered at 2.8 on the Richter Scale at a depth of 15 km and 36 km northern Lattakia city.

The National Center for Seismic Monitoring said the earthquake occurred on Monday at 3:51 am local time.

During the current month, several earthquakes struck off the Syrian coast, the highest recorded a magnitude 4.7 on the Richter scale.
