Damascus, SANA-Speaker of the people’s Assembly, Hammoudah Sabbagh, described relations between Syria and Iran as deep that developed on all levels, particularly during the years of terrorist war on Syria.
Sabbagh, meeting the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus, Javad Turkabadi, stressed the importance of developing and boosting parliamentary ties between parliaments of the two countries, hailing the support of the friendly countries, particularly Iran, for Syria against all forms of conspiracies.
The speaker received an invitation from Speaker of Iranian Shura, Ali Larijani, to visit Iran next month.
The Iranian Ambassador, for his part, said the Syrian people are the only ones who decide their future, underlining Iran’s rejection of the Turkish aggression on Syria.
